I Guess I touched a Nerve With Steven Joseph Monteforte (Rapid City), Public Information Officer (PIO) Piedmont Fire Department, Piedmont SD

Again, just when I think I’ve said what I needed to say, Steven Monteforte (Rapid City, SD), the Captain of the Battle Creek Fire Department in Keystone SD (Now a public information officer for Piedmont Fire Department) gives me reason to say something more. After not intimidating me with a call from a Deputy, who agreed with me and my rights, he blocked me from the Battle Creek Fire Department Facebook Page.

Well, that page is where I would learn about local hazards and fire news, including whether our area is under a Red Flag Warning. *1

I have never said anything about any of this on the Battle Creek page, just liked and shared, to help the post reach other pages. So, Steven Joseph Monteforte really does run that station like his own little frat house… or brothel. As he is in charge of the Facebook page, the power must be too much to handle.

Keep in mind that after comparing notes, dates and texts with another recent self-described victim, he has had several women through the firehouse in any given week, sometimes more than one in a day. Even frat houses have rules about overnight guests. I guess the firehouse doesn’t have rules, at least none that Steven Monteforte needs to follow. Sex between the trucks, on the step of the truck… the bumper… the floor, the couch…

Again, let me say I don’t hate him. I’m not even angry anymore. Just hoping that there is somebody in his life who could help him get help. Because this is not just a “player” or “ladies man.” This activity and inability to stop goes much further.

He has lied to women about having a vasectomy. When called on it, he brushes it off and says he was misunderstood.

No… he wasn’t.

He says he is single. He’s not… at least not by any definition commonly accepted. His victims are led to believe things that are not true in order to gain their compliance. True consent is based on truth. If you don’t have truth… you don’t have consent.

In his position as Captain and also the Public Information Officer, trust is a requirement, in my opinion. Maybe I’m alone in that.

It’s too easy to shrug this off as a bunch of exes who are hurt and emotional. I’ve been in contact with more than one ex and even a few firefighters or ex-friends, and the stories are too close to say coincidence.

Again, I was willing to just walk away before I heard from one of his most recent victims and decided he needed to be stopped, through help for him and warning for others.

I don’t hold my breath that his peers or higher-ups are going to do anything. That just leaves a warning planted online for other targets.

Steven, I can help you get in touch with the right people. By your own admission to more than one person, you need help. I can’t imagine actually wanting to live like this. To continually hurt people and shrug it off saying how easy it was.

Blocking me from the department page is petty…. and unprofessional. I guess that’s exactly what my point to all of this is. Just where do you draw the line between personal and professional?

You are not invited to my home, but if you want the number of my friend who can talk to you about SLAA (Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous) just say that in a text and I’ll give you his number. I’m not open to discussing anything else.

So far, I am the ONLY one of your MANY targets who feels there is any hope for you. But my goal here is to save others… not you. You are going to have to take those steps on your own.

If you wish to read the whole story in order, now with notes, on my experience with Steven Monteforte (AKA Steven Joseph, and Jersey Steve)  Here it is in order.
